How do I place an order?
We encourage you to place your orders online through our website for convenience, where you can browse our selection and make your choices. Alternatively, you may email your orders toayanna@wonderfullymadethings.comor text them to 773-395-1073. If you have any additional questions or need clarification regarding your ordering options, please feel free to contact us.
How much notice is required for orders?
Ready to purchase items (cookies, cake slices, etc.), require no notice. Batches of cookies, brownies, treats and cakes require a 3-10 day notice. Large orders, party items require a 2 week notice. A 50% deposit is due at the time of order, with the remaining balance due upon delivery. Should you need to request a refund, please provide notice at least 3-5 days prior to your scheduled delivery date.
What forms of payment do we accept?
Cash, credit, Cashapp, Zelle......
What if I need to amend my order?
No problem, email us atayanna@wonderfullymadethings.comor text 773-395-1073 with amendments no later than 3 days prior to the scheduled delivery/pick up date. Please note that we cannot guarantee amendments to your initial order depending on the request. Depending on the amendment and time of notice, there may be a cost implication upon receipt.
What if I need to cancel an order?
We initiate the review and preparation of your order immediately upon receipt. To ensure we can fulfill your request, we kindly ask for a notice of 3 to 5 days prior to your scheduled delivery or pick-up date. Please note that for larger orders, a deposit may be forfeited if proper notice is not provided.
What is your refund policy?
Refunds are considered on an individual basis. Should you need to request a refund, please contact us immediately with your concern. We value customer satisfaction and will do what we can to ensure the best possible outcome. Please be sure to save your unfinished product for return so that we can properly assess the problem and determine the best solution when requesting the refund.
Do you deliver or ship?
We are pleased to offer pickup and delivery arrangements directly with our customers for added convenience. Please note that a delivery fee may apply, depending on distance, particularly if a specified mileage threshold is exceeded. We appreciate your understanding as we work to provide accurate pricing based on delivery requirements.
At Wonderfully Made Things, we are committed to your convenience and satisfaction. To maintain the freshness of our products, we will make two attempts to coordinate your pickup or delivery. If we are unable to connect after these attempts, your order will be voided. Thank you for your understanding. We will also be introducing local shipping options soon.
How do I care for my cake once delivered?
Our cakes and desserts are delivered chilled. We recommend enjoying them within 48 hours of receipt. If serving soon, please allow the cake to sit in a cool, dry place for 30 minutes to reach room temperature. For optimal freshness, particularly with cakes featuring cream cheese or buttercream frosting, fruit, carrot, or red velvet, refrigerate them until 30 minutes before serving. Allow at least one hour at room temperature before serving.
If you plan to serve the cake at a later date, you may freeze it by wrapping the box in plastic wrap, where it will remain fresh for up to one week.
Do we create custom cakes?
Currently we do not replicate cakes found online, nor are we able to create printable designs at this time.
What size layer cake do we offer?
Our decadent layer cakes come in 1, 2, or 3 layers, with options in 6", 8", 9", and 10" rounds. We also provide square cakes in 9" x 9" and 10" x 10" sizes. Please note that prices vary based on the size, filling, flavor, and icing chosen. For instance, our most popular size—a 3-layer, 8" cake—can serve up to 25 people, depending on portion sizes.
How many people do your sheet cakes feed?
Our sheet cakes are available in two sizes: 9" x 13", which serves 20-24 people, and a half sheet measuring 18" x 26", which serves 36-48 people.
Do you slice cakes for our customers?
For your convenience, we offer the option to slice and package your cake into individual servings for an additional fee. Please let us know at the time of your order if you would like this service, as a slicing and packaging fee will be applied.
Am I limited to the cake flavors on your website?
You are not limited to the cakes listed on our website. We frequently create new flavors, so please feel free to inquire about any recent additions if you don't see what you're looking for.
Do you provide catering services for special events or large parties?
Our company offers a delightful selection of sweets and treats to make any special event or large gathering complete. To ensure availability, we require sufficient notice along with a 50% deposit at the time of order placement, with the remaining balance due upon receipt.
